Lymphedema Therapy

In the United States, Lymphedema commonly occurs as a result of damage to the lymphatic system from surgery, radiation or the disease itself.  It is often found in the extremities, but can involve the trunk, breast, genitals and face as well. Lymphedema therapy consists of manual lymphatic drainage, compression, meticulous skin care and exercise.
